Your guide to Appliances Online discount codes and deals with BHG

Appliances Online have just about every home appliance, tech gear and gadget you could imagine at competitive prices. As someone who lives out of a metro area, I’m also a big fan of Appliances Online’s free shipping, and the optional connection and removal services that are either free or available for a fee depending on what you’re buying. For big-ticket, bulky things like a fridge or oven, this can save you a lot regardless of whether you’re living inner city or regionally (Appliances Online says it delivers to 95% of Australia).

Of course, the prices and service becomes even better if you’ve got a discount code or promotional offer. So whether you’re upgrading your kitchen, laundry, TV or anything else, here you’ll find our pick of the top Appliances Online discount codes and deals available right now. Plus tips and analysis to help you get the biggest bang for your buck.

How we source these discount codes and offers

We know searching for active codes takes time and can be trial-and-error. So we’ve done the hard work for you, drawing on our established network of partners and affiliates, as well as independent research and verification processes bring you current Appliances Online discount codes and offers. The Better Homes & Gardens Deals Team regularly check the Appliances Online website, emails and other sources for the latest discount codes, promotions and other offers, which are then individually tested at the checkout and analysed to make sure they offer real value. In some cases, that even includes calculating the savings to provide you with clear details of the value available with different types of deals, products and brands. We also read the terms and conditions for every Appliances Online discount code and offer, and take down expired ones so you only see deals available when you’re ready to shop.

How to redeem an Appliances Online coupon code

It’s easy to redeem a code with Appliances Online in a few steps:

  1. Click on a deal here to get the code (when one is needed), as well as offer details. To make it easy, a new window will also open to take you to the relevant section of the website.
  2. Add your items to cart, then go to the checkout.
  3. Click on ‘Show order summary’, which is before your delivery details and other information. This expands the order summary, which includes the products you’re buying and the discount code field.
  4. Enter the code in the code in the ‘Gift card / Coupon code’ field and select ‘Apply’ to update your purchase.

Editor’s note: On a laptop or desktop computer, you don’t need to expand your order summary. Instead, you’ll find the ‘Gift card / Coupon code’ field on the right-hand side of the screen. But considering many of us shop on mobile (and it’s not visible straight away), here’s an example we took screenshots of:

“Appliances Online is one of the first websites I open when I’m shopping for new household appliances. I particularly like the free delivery options, and that you can choose to have them install and even remove some old appliances.”

Appliances Online discount code FAQs

Does Appliances Online have a discount code for first orders?

Yes! Appliances Online offers $30 off your first order when you join the mailing list through the pop-up box. If you don’t see it, you can also click where it says ‘Get $30 off your first order*’ and the sign-up box will appear where you can enter your first name and email address. You’ll then get an email with the code and can use it for orders with a minimum spend of $200 while this promotion is available.

We check Appliances Online regularly for deals, so we’ll update you if this offer changes. The Appliances Online offer for $30 off your first order can be accessed by clicking the highlighed text stating 'Get $30 off your first order*', viewed here on a mobile.

Does Appliances online have a promo code for free delivery?

Appliances Online offers free delivery for most metro areas and selected regional areas during the week – so no code is needed. In fact, you could even get next-day delivery for free if you order before midnight the day before (depending on your location).

What if there’s no promotion code?

If you’re buying something on sale or through a promotion that doesn’t need a code, Appliances Online usually applies the discount to your purchase automatically. But if you’re unsure, you can also check with them through the online chat or by calling 1300 000 500.

Other ways to save at Appliances Online

  • Free connection service: If you’re buying a washer, fridge, freezer or microwave, Appliances Online offers free connection. You can also get other appliances connected for a fee. For example, I was looking at a new standalone gas oven that offered free delivery and installation for $375 – giving me a handy reference point if I decide to also get a quote from a local plumber or trade professional.
  • Old product removal and recycling: Appliances Online offers free removal for disconnected fridges, washing machines, ovens and other appliances, and can either do it the same day as the new one arrives, or at a later date if you’re upgrading early as part of a renovation. Where possible, they recycle items – including packaging for the new one so you don’t have to deal with it.
  • Price matching: Appliances Online offers a price match guarantee, so if you find the same product elsewhere for cheaper (in Australia), just contact the customer service team through live chat or by calling 1300 000 500.
  • Sales: Appliances Online has sales throughout the year, including Black Friday/Cyber Monday, Boxing Day and EOFY. It also has a Hot Offers section of the website where you can shop daily deals, with savings from around $17 to $1200 last time I checked.

What to know when shopping with Appliances Online

If you’re wondering exactly how your big ticket items and fun gadgets will get to you, want to know about returns or are new to shopping with Appliances Online, we’ve rounded up some of the most common questions and key details to know so that you don’t have to search for answers.

Appliances Online delivery details

Appliances Online offers free delivery to most metro areas and selected regional areas Monday to Friday. Depending on your order and location, you could get free next-day delivery, or choose a date that suits you (great if it’s a big appliance you need to be home for).

For deliveries that have fees – including those on weekends or to areas not eligible for free delivery – you’ll get details of the cost at the checkout.

Delivery times

Appliances Online deliveries can come as soon as the next day during the week. And if you’re in Sydney and want your order sooner, you may be able to pay to have it delivered on the same day within a two-hour window.

There are a few exceptions, though. For example, if you order over the weekend, the earliest you’ll get your order is Tuesday the next week. And some areas are outside of the next-day delivery zone, so with those Appliances Online offers estimated delivery times at the checkout.

How to choose a delivery date

Appliances Online has a calendar during the checkout process where you can choose a future date for your delivery. This could be handy if, say, you’re renovating and want to get everything in the pipeline (and on the budget) early.

Here’s an example of the calendar with lots of free delivery dates and $40 delivery on Saturdays – although that price may vary based on your order and location.

FAQs for orders, returns and more

Does Appliances Online offer installation?

Appliances Online has a team of installers ready to help. In fact, depending on where you are, you could get free installation for a new fridge, washing machine, dryer, washer-dryer combo or microwave. There are fees for more specialised installations, such as ovens, dishwashers and rangehoods, and you’ll get details of the estimated costs after you add items to cart and check the installation box.
You can also get some old appliances removed, which can save you time organising it yourself (or paying another company).

What is Appliances Online’s return policy?

Appliances Online accepts change of mind returns within 30 days of the delivery date for most products, and you will get a full refund on the product price if it’s unused and in its original packaging. If you’ve opened the product but it’s unused, you can return it for a store credit based on the invoiced price, minus a 20% restocking fee.

If you’ve shopped with Appliances Online before (or spend as much time on the site as I do for work and play), you might notice this is an updated timeframe for change of mind returns. Previously, you could return items in 7 days – I’m impressed with the more generous 30-day window available now. But in my experience, the sooner you can organise a return, the better.

If you want to return something due to damage, issues covered by warranty or any other problems covered by Australian Consumer Law, contact Appliances Online on 1300 000 500 so they can help.

Appliances Online vs Harvey Norman vs The Good Guys – where do you get the best deal?

Each appliance store has different product ranges and promotions, including some exclusive offers from time to time, as well as discount codes and other limited-time deals. But one benefit with Appliances Online is that it offers free delivery for many of the products, which I haven’t found as often with Harvey Norman or The Good Guys.

For example, I was recently looking at the Westinghouse 54cm White Natural Gas Freestanding Oven, which is available from $1321 with free delivery through Appliances Online. The same model at Harvey Norman was $1599 plus $49 for delivery to Sydney. The Good Guys didn’t have this model, but I found a Westinghouse 54cm electric oven for $1399 with $59 delivery (the same delivery fee was quoted for a 53cm Emilia gas oven, too). So only Appliances Online offered free delivery.

In terms of actual product range and prices, all three have a competitive range and pricing varies. I often compare prices between these three and a few other stores to make sure I’m getting the lowest price. But if it wasn’t with Appliances Online, I’d consider using their price-matching service to get the competitor’s lower price and free delivery.

Why ‘Who owns Appliances Online in Australia?’ is one of my favourite questions about the brand

I always think there’s something valuable about hearing the success stories of Australians who’ve worked hard to build something from the ground up. It’s the kind of spirit I associate with creators, self-starters and those of us bold enough (and dedicated enough) to take on our own home improvements (with the help of Better Homes & Gardens of course).

If you’re like me and cheer these people on, the story of Appliances Online is in the same vein:

Appliances Online is owned by Winning Group, an Australian company that was founded by John Winning. He started Appliances Online in 2005 when he was just 21 years old, and has grown it into one of the largest online appliance retailers in the country.

You can buy major appliances including fridges, washing machines, dishwashers and ovens, as well as vacuum cleaners, air fryers and TVs, from leading brands like LG, Bosch, Fisher & Paykel, Miele, Ninja, Samsung, Dreame, Roborock and more. The free delivery and installation options, along with a focus on customer support, has made Appliances Online a go-to store for many Australians.

“Appliances Online is here to keep Australian homes going when they need it the most.”

James Bartlett, General Manager – Appliances Online, media statement (2024)
