Your guide to Target discount codes and deals with BHG
Target has something for everyone, with a focus on value for money. But because we love a deal as much as you, we’ve also curated an edit of valuable and relevant Target discount codes and other offers you can shop with now. We find them thanks to our experienced deals team, who regularly check trusted sources and connections in our networks, along with the Target Australia website, newsletters and socials for deals we know you’ll love. We also test each one, read the terms and conditions to call out key details, and remove offers when they end to make it easier for you to get what you want at a price that’s right.
How do I redeem a Target discount code?
Redeeming a discount code on the Target Australia website is easy. Just follow these steps:
- Click on an offer here to get the code and/or details of the deal. A new window will also open and take you straight to the relevant section on the Target Australia website.
- Add your chosen items to the shopping cart.
- Click on the cart icon and proceed to checkout. If you have a Target or OnePass account, you’ll be prompted to login. Or you can continue as a guest.
- Select the promo code box in the payment section of the checkout page. It’s also what you’d click on to enter your Flybuys details.
- Paste in your discount code and click ‘Apply’ to see the updated total.

“Not everyone know this, but Target often has the same items that go viral at Kmart – the Anko bag sealer the BHG team tested is a good example from 2026. So if Kmart’s sold out, I often check Target’s stock both online and in-store where I could click and collect it.”

Target FAQs: Shopping, delivery and more
Does Target do 20% off for students?
In Australia, Target doesn’t currently offer any specific discounts for students. But anyone studying may find some great deals during the ‘back to school’ promotional period in January, and just before the start of a new school term.
It’s worth noting the Target brand in the US has offered a 20% student discount, which doesn’t work in Australia and isn’t associated with the store here.
Does Target offer free delivery?
Yes, free delivery applies on orders $60 and above excluding large items and gift cards.
If you’re a OnePass member, you get free standard shipping across Australia on eligible orders, excluding big and bulky items and other products as per OnePass terms and conditions.
Target also offers a free 2-hour Click & Collect service for items that are available in your selected store.
How long does a Target delivery take?
Standard delivery usually takes 3–7 business days, depending on availability. Delivery to rural and remote areas may take longer.
What is Target’s return policy?
Items purchased online can be returned by post or at your local Target store within 60 days of delivery for a hassle-free return.
Target products are covered by Australian Consumer Law guarantees. If a product has a major failure, you are entitled to a replacement or refund, and compensation for any foreseeable loss or damage. If the issue is not major, you can request a repair or replacement. You can check complete return policy here.
What payment methods does Target accept?
There are many ways to pay for your items, including PayPal, Zip, Afterpay and all major credit cards like MasterCard, American Express and Visa. You can also use Target gift cards, Target e-gift cards, as well as Coles Group & Myer gift cards.
What’s the difference between Target in Australia and the US?
Target Australia is a completely separate business to Target in the US. Both companies share the same name and a very similar logo, though, which is why it can sometimes be confusing. As an example, if you’re searching for Target discount codes and deals, you might come across student or teacher discounts, or the Target Circle program – all of which are for the US Target brand and have no association with Target Australia. That’s one of the reasons the BHG deals team is so driven to find the latest relevant Target Australia discount codes and other offers – so you don’t have to go searching and potentially end up on an overseas site for a completely different Target to the beloved store we have here.
