Does Sleeping Duck have free delivery?
Standard delivery is free across the Sleeping Duck delivery network. You can also get free premium delivery if you’re in an eligible area.
How long will it take for my order to be delivered?
You can book a delivery day when you place your order, but may need to plan to be home for that day. For sheets and other bedding that’s shipped by Australia Post, you’ll also get an estimated delivery time for your order.

Can a Sleeping Duck mattress go on any base?
A Sleeping Duck mattress needs a specific type of base to provide the best support and ensure its 10-year warranty remains valid. It requires a supportive, firm, and often slatted base that meets specific criteria to maintain its performance and warranty.
So a Sleeping Duck mattress cannot go on any base but if you have one you want to use, you can contact Sleeping Duck to check if it meets the requirements. Sleeping Duck also has clear bed base specifications on the warranty page. I’ve found these helpful when considering my own mattress upgrade – although I think if I choose a Sleeping Duck mattress (and it is a strong contender at this stage), I’d also get the Indestruct Bed, preferably with a discount code or offer to save on the “sleep system” set.
What is Sleeping Duck’s return policy?
You can return a mattress and any other other comfort items for free in the first 100 days. It’s worth noting that Sleeping Duck recommends sleeping on a new mattress for at least 21 days to give your body time to adjust.
You can also get a refund on SD Indestruct Bed, bed bases and dog beds within 14 days of delivery if the items are unopened and intact.

Is it worth paying full price for Sleeping Duck or waiting for a discount code?
That depends on who you ask – Sleeping Duck is known for its clever mattresses that you can make softer or firmer, including different levels of firmness on each side if you and your bedfellow have different preferences. I’m also really impressed by the bed bases, with a huge range of styles as well as custom options.
But whether or not it’s worth it really depends on your preferences, budget – and how urgently (or not) you need a new bed. For example, I’m on the lookout for a new mattress and bed frame, but my current bed is still comfortable enough that I can wait for the right deal to come along.
It also helps to hear from people who have slept on the mattress you’re thinking of buying. So I turned to Shopping Content Producer Rachel Weisz who first reviewed the SD MACH II mattress in 2025 and is still sleeping on it more than a year later.
