How to apply The Wine Collective discount codes
The Wine Collective lets you add one discount code per order, and it’s easy to do in just a few steps:
- Get your valid code: Choose our exclusive discount code or any of the other BHG-verified codes here and when you click on it you’ll get details of the code and/or offer.
- Choose your bottles on The Wine Collective: Head to the website by switching to the new window we’ve opened for you, or by clicking ‘The Wine Collective’ from our offer. Then start bulding your cart with individual bottles, wine packs, spirits or anything else you want.
- Login (if you want): If you’re a member of The Wine Collective’s rewards program, login to earn points. Otherwise, you can create a free account, or checkout as a guest.
- Add your code: Click through to the checkout when you’re ready, then click on ‘Order summary’ to expand it on mobile (you skip this on a computer as it’s already visible). Enter your code in the discount code field, and click ‘Apply’. The code will be added to your order and you’ll see an updated order summary with your savings and new total.
- Confirm your age and complete checkout: Add your date of birth to verify that you’re over 18, enter your delivery and payment details and place your order
To paint the picture for you, I took screenshots when I was at the checkout on my phone. You’ll notice the order value is higher in the first image, before I’d expanded the order summary and applied the code.

Can I use more than one The Wine Collective discount code at a time?
The Wine Collective only allows you to add one voucher code or discount to an order. This includes reward point discounts. But if you have a few discounts to choose from, here’s what to consider to get the most out of them:
- How much you’ll save: A fixed-dollar discount, such as $20 off has a clear savings value, but for a percentage discount you could have the potential to save more depending on the value of your order.
- If there’s a minimum order value: The Wine Collective’s $20 newsletter discount code only works on orders over $150, for example, while the referral discount has a $100 minimum. Our 10% discount code doesn’t have a set minimum, and neither do reward point discounts.
- When it expires: The BHG Deals Team list expiry details for every tested code here. Other promotional discounts and codes also list an expiry, such as 30 days for the 5000 bonus points you get when you join My Collective Rewards.
- When you think you’ll make your next purchase: This can help you figure out how many of the discounts you’ll be able to use before they expire. Then, you can prioritise the discount/s that offer the most value.
Editor’s tip: If you’re only planning to make one purchase in the near future, you could hold off on joining My Collective Rewards until you’re ready to shop again. Then, you can use the bonus 5000 points to save on that order without feeling rushed to use them within 30 days.
Does The Wine Collective have a free shipping promotion code?
The Wine Collective offers free shipping on orders over $299 to metro and most regional areas of Australia (excludes country WA), with no code needed. Gold reward members can also get free shipping on orders over $199.
The Wine Collective sometimes also runs limited-time promotional shipping offers. For example, earlier this year I saw a ‘happy hour’ deal for free shipping on orders over $150 to select regions, plus a $20 discount.
Top tips to save more at The Wine Collective
As a Deals Editor, it’s part of my job to research and analyse all the ways you can save and get more value. I’ve actually spent a fair amount of time doing in my 17+ year career as a personal finance and lifestyle journalist – so I mean it when I say The Wine Collective offers a great range of ways to save. Beyond discount codes, here are my top picks for getting value.
1. Join the rewards program
Sign up to My Collective Rewards and get 5000 bonus points you can redeem for a $10 discount, and 10,000 bonus points on your second purchase. Plus as well as 10 points per $1 spent as a Bronze member, member offers and a special birthday offer. Every 2500 points you earn equals a $5 discount and you can save up points for bigger discounts.
As you spend more, you can reach Silver or Gold membership and unlock these benefits:
- Silver: Spend over $1000 in a year and you’ll get 12 points per $1, a membership anniversary surprise and priority access to sales and offers.
- Gold: Spend over $2500 in a year to unlock 15 points per $1, first access to sales and offers and free delivery on orders over $199.
2. Earn more points for discounts
My Collective Rewards members can get reward discounts faster with limited-time bonus point offers, friend referrals (10,000 points per successful referral) and reviews (1000 points per review).
3. Get a wine plan or subscribe and save
The Wine Collective is well known for its great value wine plans, which start from $155 for a box of 12 red, white or mixed (the ‘Daily Delights plan). These are typically delivered every three months, but you can request a different schedule. Just to put that in perspective, with this plan you’re paying around $12.92 for each bottle – which is cheap for good wine!
I’ve also found two current seasonal wine collections that offer 15% discounts when you subscribe for a once-a-year delivery:
- The Ultimate Christmas Day Luxury Dozen feat. Bonus 1500ml Magnum & Fortified: 14 bottles for $622.35 for a one-off purchase, or $529 when you subscribe for a delivery each December. Subscribers also get a $50 Wine Collective Gift Card, and with this collection there’s a minimum of $1000 value.
- The Perfect Christmas Dozen + 2 Bonus Gift Bottles: 14 bottles for $294.12 as a one-off purchase, or $250 when you subscribe. Subscribers also get a $50 Wine Collective Gift Card.

Can I use a discount code on a Wine Collective subscription?
Great question, but unfortunately the answer is no. I even tried with BHG’s exclusive code and the Perfect Christmas Dozen, and got a message saying the discount code “isn’t valid for the items in your cart”. The T&Cs for the welcome voucher code also excludes subscriptions. And wine plans can only be setup by contacting The Wine Collective, so there’s no option for a discount code – the main value is in the plan itself.
4. Shop the sales
The Wine Collective has sales throughout the year, with a sale section where I recently found up to 75% off. Last Black Friday, The Wine Collective also offered discounts of up to 80% off. So if you can wait for a major sale like Black Friday or Boxing Day, you may find some of the biggest discounts of the year.
Otherwise, you could filter by price, or checkout the category specifically for wine under $15 – my favourite section when I’m looking for the cheapest quality wine at The Wine Collective.
5. Check out the clearance section
As well as offering some of the biggest discounts (up to 70% last time I checked), The Wine Collective’s clearance section is great for finding premium wines that are priced to clear. I recently found a 50% discount on a Bordeaux, with bottles selling for just $30 – a great price for anyone who favours red wine or has wanted to try wine from this renowned region of France.
Editor’s tip: Remember BHG’s exclusive 10% The Wine Collective discount code can be added to sale and clearance items, so you can save even more on these heavily discounted bottles.
The Wine Collective FAQs
How much is delivery with The Wine Collective?
The Wine Collective delivers across most of the country through Australia Post. Delivery is free for orders over $299 to most places except country WA, and is free for a lower order value of $199 if you’re a Gold rewards member. Outside that and any limited-time promotions, delivery fees range from $15.95 to $33.95 based on your location and order value.
The Wine Collective has a detailed table for each delivery zone (1-5), and I personally find it easiest to just check delivery costs at the checkout. But to give you an idea, here are the fees for a delivery to capital city when your order is over $50 but doesn’t qualify for free delivery:
- Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra: $15.95
- Adelaide and Perth: $17.95
- Hobart (all of Tasmania): $19.95
And if your order is under $50, these fees apply:
- Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra and Adelaide: $19.95
- Perth: $22.95
- Hobart (all of Tasmania): $24.95
For country areas of WA, the delivery fees are $28.95 for all orders over $50 and $33.95 for orders under $50.
The Wine Collective also doesn’t deliver to the Northern Territory, Christmas Island (Kiritimati), Cocos & Keeling Islands and Lord Howe Island.
How long does delivery take?
The Wine Collective usually dispatches orders from its Sydney warehouse within 1-3 business days, so if you’re in Sydney you could have your order in a couple of days. But otherwise, deliveries typically arrive within 2-10 business days of dispatch.
Does The Wine Collective offer click and collect?
The Wine Collective doesn’t offer click and collect. But if you want to sign for your delivery, you can opt for ‘No Authority To Leave’, which means your order will only be delivered when someone over 18 is present to sign for it. When no one is home, these orders are typically taken to the nearest Australia Post location.
You can also contact The Wine Collective before ordering if you want your delivery to arrive on a specific future date (up to a month in advance).
What happens if my order is damaged?
The Wine Collective packs orders carefully to ensure they arrive undamaged. But if something happens in transit, they will contact you to organise a replacement or other solution. Just make sure you haven’t signed for the order before checking for damage, as once you sign for it the responsibility passes to you.
If I don’t like the wine I ordered, can I return it to The Wine Collective?
Yes, but only if you order a case of a single type of wine (same brand, year etc), try a bottle and don’t like it. In this scenario, you can return the unopened bottles to The Wine Collective within 90 days. They’ll issue a store credit in the form of reward points, which means you have 12 months to use it.
What about other returns?
The Wine Collective also accepts change-of-mind returns for unopened bottles within 14 days in most cases, except for Marketplace orders (these are marked and typically for international wines). While you can get a refund on unopened, undamaged change-of-mind returns, a fee and/or delivery costs may apply.
If there’s another issue with your order, you can check your rights under Australian Consumer Law and/or contact The Wine Collective.
I’ve looked at every page on The Wine Collective website – here’s my take as Deals Editor
Deep-dives come with the territory as a journalist and editor, especially with my 17+ year background as a lifestyle and personal finance journalist (so many T&Cs). But I genuinely enjoyed researching The Wine Collective as a private, Australian brand with a history in the wine industry that dates back to 1946 and The Wine Society.
As well as being the first Australian wine business to partner with renowned French wine merchant CVBG, The Wine Collective works with local wine producers and growers – something I personally value and consider when choosing wine.
I’m also impressed by the range. I scrolled through over 8234 products in the online store (yes, really). And as well as wine, there is an appealing selection of spirits and liqueurs, low and no-alcohol options, drink accessories and more. There are even gift cards with a choice of artwork and greetings, and values from $40-$500.
With some fine wine appreciators in my immediate family, I’m now seriously considering a few options at The Wine Collective for Christmas and beyond. Especially while BHG has a discount code, and with my bonus reward points in the mix.
