Our Deals editors do not pull codes from automated feeds and hope for the best. Each one is manually sourced directly from the retailer, cross-checked against current terms and conditions, tested through to checkout where possible, and reviewed for exclusions, minimum spend thresholds and expiry dates before it is ever published.
Every deal and code published on our pages has been through a three-stage manual verification process, checked by a real member of our editorial team before being published.
Who tests our discount codes and deals?
Our dedicated Deals team is made up of five experts with industry experience from Thomson Reuters, Finder, Sydney Morning Herald and Money Mag. Unlike automated coupon platforms, our editors manually test every code and physically enter it into the retailer’s live checkout every week.

How we test our deals and codes?
Before any deal or discount code appears on our pages, it goes through a three-step verification process. Here is exactly what that looks like.
Step 1 – Sourcing
Better Homes and Gardens has direct relationships with brand partners, which means we often secure exclusive codes before they are available anywhere else. Beyond that, our editors actively monitor brand websites, promotional terms and conditions, newsletters and social channels, filtering out low-quality or unreliable codes well before they reach our readers.
Step 2 – Reviewing
Every code is tested through a complete real-world checkout by one of our editors. Not skimmed, not assumed. Actually tested.
- Cookies are cleared before each test
- Guest checkout is used throughout or logged in as per coupon conditions
- Shipping costs are verified
- The discount is confirmed as applied at checkout after address is entered
- Conditions and exclusions are noted
Step 3 – Weekly Verification
Once a code goes live, our work doesn’t stop. Every week our editors manually re-check each offer, remove anything expired or invalid, and confirm every deal is still working. When you visit our pages, you’re looking at recently verified offers.
