Why is no one talking about the cracker deals Big W is offering right now as part of its end of financial year sales? After noticing they’d knocked $250 off the full price of the KitchenAid Classic Stand Mixer, I went straight to the group chat. I needed to let the girls who have been coveting one know that now’s their chance. If you’re a bit of a cleaning fanatic like me, you’re probably also aware that Big W’s bulk cleaning section has a cult following. The EOFY savings here don’t disappoint either.
Whether you’re stocking up on household essentials to save on your weekly grocery shop, finally splurging on that stand mixer (making things from scratch is cost-effective, after all), or simply updating your home to beat the winter chill, here are the editor-approved sale picks from Big W. These are the deals I predict will sell out soon. Act fast!
The best Big W sale deals: May 2026
- KitchenAid Classic Mixer: $499 (RRP $749)
- Corelle Winter Frost White 12-piece dinner set, $51 (was $85)
- Philips All-in-one cooker 6L, $149 (was $199)
4 kitchen upgrades for easier weeknight dinners
As a working parent I understand the weeknight dinner slog. If you’re shopping the Big W sale, these are the items I recommend adding to cart. While I don’t own a KitchenAid (I have a vintage stand mixer that’s still going strong), I own everything else on this list. You can be sure I’ll be picking up another set of Corelle plates in this sale. I love them because they’re kid-proof (they don’t etch or chip). They are lightweight, stack beautifully in a dishwasher and take up minimal space in my kitchen cupboards.
This Pyrex set is handier than you’d think. All of the dishes come with a lid, which makes the large tray especially helpful for family-friendly meal prep. You can bake a pasta bake on a Sunday, pop the lid on and store it straight in the fridge for dinner on Monday. I’ve used the smaller trays for transporting homemade apple crumbles and self-saucing puddings to gatherings. I always get comments on how good the desserts taste and how handy my Pryex dishes are.
It’s also slow-cooker season, and if you’ve never bought one before, now’s the time. I’ve had my Philips All-in-One for almost a decade, and it’s still going strong. There are two main reasons I love it. Firstly, you can sear meat in it directly (no transferring from a saucepan to a slow cooker). Additionally, I have the option of pressure cooking if I’m really pinched for time.

Cleaning cult favourites you can score for cheap
Not sure why it took so long, but discovering bulk cleaning products has been an absolute revelation. It’s significantly reduced my weekly grocery bill, because I’m no longer adding products like laundry detergent and stain remover to cart so frequently. Moreover, I’m not being held hostage by the constant price flux of laundry powder.
I cannot do without a tub of Vanish Napisan in my laundry – not only is it great for lifting stains and odours from clothing, it’s also handy for cleaning other things around the house, like deodorising the wheelie bin and the kitchen bin. Just add water, add a cap of Napisan, soak for 30 minutes, rinse clear and any lingering bin smells will be gone! While my ride-or-die laundry powder is Omo Ultimate (sadly not included in this sale), Omo Sensitive is a trusted choice for many. Many who suffer from allergies or prefer no-fragrance cleaning products reach for Omo Sensitive.
A dehumidifier? You may ask. Yes. It’s the secret to drying laundry faster indoors when it’s raining and you haven’t got a dryer. Musty towels? Not when this bad-boy is running. As for the spin-mop, again, my preferred brand is the Vileda Easy Wring & Clean (also not included in this sale). I have heard glowing reports about the Sabco from my fastidious friends.

Omo Sensitive front & top loader powder 7kg, $44 (was $55)

Breville the Smart Dry compact dehumidifier, $201 (was $269)
Winter warmers worth every cent
Winter’s coming, and getting your home feeling warm and cosy doesn’t have to cost a fortune. Sometimes it’s the simple swaps that make the biggest difference — like switching to a winter weight quilt. Treating yourself to a $24 set of 100% cotton flannelette sheets is another option. Honestly, it’ll change your life.
And if you’ve ever stepped out of a hot shower into a freezing bathroom only to reach for a threadbare towel, you’ll know the struggle is real. A soft, fluffy towel is one of those small things that’s absolutely worth spending a little extra on.
