1. Random half square triangle quilts in gorgeous bright colours

The fantastic thing about a HST pattern is that it is easy, straightforward cutting and sewing. If you are being completely random about your colour placement another bonus is that you don’t have to worry about following any particular order or pattern – you literally sew together whatever is next in your hands!

Machine quilting on your domestic machine is also achievable as you can sew ¼ inch away from seams and have a nice all over geometric quilting pattern without having to draw lines and use maths.

2. A bursting star in on-trend colours

If you are feeling like you need a bit of order, then what about a lovely big star quilt pattern! I love the matching mustard velvet lounge.

3. I am cactus over this too cute quilt

Being a big fan of pink and green this one caught my eye, a patchwork cactus. Imagine it in a quirky kids room, you could even upsize it and have it on your own bed!
