How to make your own personalised gift tags
Painted tags
Unevenly brush acrylic paint on store-bought tags.
Parcel tags
These tags are available in many colours and can be used as is or embellished.
Snowman tag
With a fine-tip black marker, draw a small hat and a line or decoration around the edges. Hot-glue three white pompoms beneath the hat.
“Holly Jolly” banner tag
For a simple yet impressive option, cut custom shapes from cardstock and decorate with paint markers (above) or pompoms (below).
“Made with Love” tag
Paint the tags, let them dry, then use a marker to personalise them.
Star tag with brush markers
Use brush markers to decorate plain white edges.
Strung cardstock tags
Punch holes in two strips of cardstock and string them together.
Washi tape tag
Add strips of washi tape across a tag and trim the excess.
Paper punch
If you want to make tags in bulk, buy a couple of large craft punches that make tag shapes. Add washi tape across the bottom and stickers for extra decoration.
