Blinds aren’t just for the interior of your home, you can use them outside too. Outdoor blinds are a great way to keep out the heat, add style and increase privacy.

Keep on entertaining

Enjoy your patio all day long with outdoor blinds to keep out the blazing afternoon sun. They also make your gatherings more private. These pelmet blinds are housed in an aluminium casing fixed to the top of your openings. The sturdy mechanism is operated by a crank handle while the blinds are held down by an elastic bungee cord, keeping them taut if a mild breeze is blowing.

Blinds for all windows

If you thought outdoor blinds are only an option if you have sliding windows, think again! Extended brackets fixed to the wall at the bottom of the window hold the blind out at an angle. This makes them suitable for windows that open out, like awning windows. They also allow more light into your home than close fitting blinds.

Bistro blinds

To extend the possibilities of your outdoor area, bistro blinds are a great choice. Being clear, they won’t compromise your view yet still protect against wind and rain. The zip joiners and extenders allow you to customise your space using a number of different blind sizes. At the edges, the blinds fit into channels that keeps them in place and help prevent the entry of the air from outside. Combined with a patio heater during winter, it turns you entertaining area into an extra room you can use all year round.

Material things

Outdoor blinds come in a range of material options depending on your needs and décor. Knitted fabric is ‘breathable’ so it doesn’t trap any warm air behind the blind. PVC is a solid option and can be coloured or clear in the case of bistro blinds. Colour-wise, contemporary charcoal and grey are popular. Other options are lighter beige and whites for more traditional schemes.
