You can help save abandoned animals just by choosing to drink this wine

Drink wine, save animals.

There’s nothing more relaxing than a good glass of wine after a long, hard day at work, and now there’s a way that you can help shelter animals – just by drinking wine!

The Sit Stay Society is a range of half-bottle wines (the perfect size for two servings!), and 50 cents from every bottle sold goes towards national animal welfare charity PetRescue. That means just by buying this wine, you are helping to create a future where every pet is loved, safe and respected by supporting PetRescue’s free adoption program.

Vickie Davey, PetRescue co-founder and joint CEO, says that 100,000 pets are killed in pounds and shelters in Australia every year, and that funding is crucial to help save animals in need.

The wines are a joint venture by BWS and Dan Murphy’s, and the wines will be stocked exclusively by the two retailers. You can currently buy the Sit Stay Society Toby’s Shiraz Tempranillo, or Max’s Cabernet Malbec varieties for $10 per bottle, with more varieties planned for release this year, including white and rose options.

“Our customers love wine and many of them are passionate about animals as well. It’s nice to be able to give them a chance to support a great cause while enjoying delicious wines,” says Chris Mattes, Head of Wine at BWS.

The next time you stop at the bottle shop to grab a red to accompany dinner, consider selecting a drop from the Sit Stay Society range, and rest easy knowing you’re helping to save animals just by having a glass of wine. That’s our kind of charity work.
