Outdoor retailer BCF has teamed up with BBC Studios and Ludo Studio to launch an exclusive Bluey range. Starting at $14.99, fans can treat themselves to more than 30 camping, watersports and apparel pieces from September 12.

Why BCF and Bluey teamed up

Research cited by the brands found modern kids spend up to 50 per cent less time outdoors than previous generations, and the collection was designed with that in mind.

“Whether it’s pitching a tent in the backyard or spending a sunny afternoon at the beach, our Bluey x BCF collection reminds us how simple it can be to connect through play,” says Luke Feddema, Head of Marketing at BCF.

Sharon Wilson, Director of Brands & Licensing at BBC Studios ANZ, says the partnership was a natural fit.

Bluey has become a beloved part of family life by championing imagination, play and shared family moments,” she says. “We’re delighted to collaborate on a collection that encourages connection and outdoor fun at a time when families are looking to make the most of the school holidays.”

Which Bluey x BCF items will sell out first?

According to Feddema, BCF’s Sublimated Beach & Camp Polos ($49.99–$69.99) are the ones to watch: “Our Subpolos are an absolute heartland of BCF products and have been incredibly popular. Combining them with Bluey is going to be massive!”

Matching family pieces are also tipped to move fast, with parents likely to snap them up as early Christmas gifts. “We expect our family sleep sets, Christmas shirts and the camp polos to be the very first to sell out as parents get an early jump on Christmas gifting,” Feddema says.

Wilson says demand won’t stop at apparel, though. “Bluey fans have a wonderful way of embracing products that bring the spirit of the show into everyday family moments, so we’re expecting strong interest across the collection — from the Kids Camp Chair with Sunshade and Hooded Kids Sleeping Bag to the watersports range.”

Other standouts include the Hooded Kids Sleeping Bag ($59.99), 4.2m Aqua Slide ($39.99), 84cm Bodyboard ($29.99) and Kids Beach Shade Tent ($49.99).

“The collection is inspired by all those classic Bluey outdoor adventures and shared family moments — specifically centred around beach days and camping trips,” Feddema says. “We wanted these storylines to inspire the real-world gear, like our camp chairs, shade tents and aqua slides, so Aussie families can recreate their favourite Bluey moments, for real life.”
