This magic wand can stop a wine hangover before it starts

This is true magic.

For many of us, having a glass of wine with dinner or to wind down after a trying day is commonplace. However, many of us also suffer from red flushes in our cheeks, rashes and headaches because of that relaxing glass of wine. Two such people are father and son team, Dr. David Meadows and his son Derek, the founders of PureWine Inc., a privately held company started in 2014.

Both David and Derek disliked the headaches and other side effects of drinking their beloved wine, so rather than suffer in silence, the pair put their heads together to solve the problem. And they did. The Wand by PureWine was born.

Costing around US$20 for 8 wands from the PureWine website, the Wand is a nifty little piece of magic that removes the histamines and sulfite preservatives from your glass of wine, as these are the substances that produce reactions such as blushing, rashes and headaches, otherwise known as wine allergies.

Wine allergies are sensitivities to wine that cause common side effects such as headaches, skin flush, congestion, runny nose, sneezing, stomach distress and hangovers. These allergic reactions are very similar to those experienced from more familiar allergies, triggered by certain foods like shellfish, or pollen, dust or pet dander.

The Wand works on all red and white wines, rose and sparkling, however the stirring action can reduce the effervescence more quickly if it’s used beyond the recommended 3 to 8 minutes.

So what are you waiting for? Add to cart!

The Wand by PureWine was even tested by US television show The Doctors, watch this video to see their amazed reactions.
