At a time where cruise travel has hit peak popularity in Australia, Lonely Planet has published their very first cruise port guide books to help travellers discover the best onshore experiences while they travel by sea.
In fact, Cruise Lines International Association reports that the Australian Cruise market grew by 4.4 per cent in 2017, with more than 1.34 million Australians taking an ocean cruise last year. The new books from Lonely Planet cover cruising in Alaska, Scandinavia, Northern Europe and the Caribbean.
The books feature colour maps, highlights in each city, shopping and food advice, and tips on how to save time and money during the brief time travellers have on shore. The series aims to cater to both experienced and beginner cruise travellers, from singles to families.
To celebrate the release of their Cruise Ports range, Lonely Planet have a dedicated page on their website to helping travellers pick the perfect cruise to suit their style and budget.
