You can sleep over at IKEA!

Fall asleep in one of the bedroom sets and wake up to breakfast in bed.

If you’ve ever had the overwhelming sensation to curl up in one of the beds on the shop floor in IKEA, you’re not alone. Now’s your chance to make that happen.

IKEA knows how to do beds. Big, small, young, old – there’s something for everyone and the Swedish retail giant has put a lot of research into what makes a good night’s sleep. If you look a little deeper you’ll find there’s more to the bedroom furniture range than just flexible flat-packs, affordable options and on-trend decorating solutions.

There’s substance behind the design since, according to The Sleep Health Foundation, one in three people regularly struggle with their sleep – and IKEA mean to address this issue head on, with a competition for their fans to experience the best sleep possible – in an IKEA store!

“At IKEA, our research has shown that Australians are still struggling to get a good night’s sleep, so we’re excited to be able to share inspiring and informed solutions for the bedroom,” says IKEA Australia’s Mark Mitchinson.

IKEA stores around Australia are creating the optimal environment for sleep, including:

  • A tailored sleep zone including a comfy mattress, ideal linen and the perfect pillow
  • Pre-sleep activities that aim to entertain, soothe and relax
  • Dining designed for sleep

Competition winners will experience the sleep zones first hand with the help of IKEA co-workers and a sleep expert on site, then wake up better – to breakfast in bed!

“While this experience is only open to a select group of lucky IKEA fans, ultimately, we want to inspire the many Australians to create their own healthy sleep environment in their homes, helping them feel refreshed and recharged to get ready for life,” says Mitchinson

“Aussies spend around one-third of their lives asleep, but a good night sleep is about more than just a mattress.” Mark Mitchinson, Ikea Australia

The overnight instore experiences are strictly open to Wake Up with IKEAcompetition winners (one couple or family)* across select IKEA stores nationally.

To enter visit your local participating store on 23 or 24 February 2019 and tell IKEA in 25 words or less why you want a better night sleep with IKEA. Visit your local store on IKEA online for more details.
