CRAFTER’S TIP: The cardboard centre is not the only part of the toilet paper roll that can be used in your craft projects. Toilet paper itself is a fantastic product to use for paper mache tasks if you have something which is the right quality. An ultra-soft toilet paper like Emporia Skin Sense can be easily transformed into a mouldable consistency when combined with white glue, linseed oil, joint compound and flour! Who would have thought?

The shape and size of toilet rolls make them the perfect ally when it comes to organising awkward things. To keep opened yarn or wrapping paper at bay, simply cut down one side of the toilet paper roll and use as a clasp. Or, to keep charging cords in order, merely stand toilet roll upside, decorate and insert unruly cable inside – perfect for a home office station!
Bird Feeder
If flighty friends surround your home, this is the DIY project for you. All you need is some string, peanut butter, bird feed, discarded toilet rolls and some hungry beaks to feed.
Pin Cushion
Combine organisation, craft and recycling, and you’ve got a winning project! This DIY pin cushion is incredibly easy, cheap and helps to keep all your pins at bay while ridding your home of unwanted toilet rolls.
Gift Boxes
Stuck with a last minute gift and forgotten to pick up wrapping paper? The answer to your problem might just be in the bathroom! By just cutting and folding in the bottom of a cardboard toilet roll, you have a small little trinket gift box! Just repeat on top and decorate as you wish! They will be none the wiser.
