Stuck on what crafty projects to start next or looking for something to spark your making mojo? Take a look at these:
1. Courthouse steps block
I love a good courthouse step block, it’s a great way to use up all your bits of fabric you have laying around from previous sewing projects. It’s also a great pattern for a keepsake quilt – using old clothing or special fabrics that you may have.
The courthouse steps block can be laid in several different ways to create either a cohesive orderly colour placement or a completely random one, like this.

2. The Half Square Triangle
This is another good one for scraps or keepsake fabrics. The HST can be laid in a million different ways to create all sorts of patterns.
Of course you can size this block up or down to what ever will suit you. Just quietly I love the colours and layout of this one.

3. An embroidery sampler
I love the idea of learning or cementing skills and a sampler is the perfect way to do just that. If you have a poke around, you’ll find lots of variations but I do particularly like this one.
4. Garment sewing
Linen dresses appear to be having a moment and this one looks like it fits the bill being both stylish and simple. Even better, it has pockets!
Make it in your favorite fabric!
5. Knitting
