Materials
- White mug
- Marabu porcelain marker pens in black and yellow, 1 – 2mm nib
- Pencil
Skill Level: Easy
Size: 12 x 11cm including handle
Step 1 – Wash the mug in hot, soapy water to remove any grease. Dry thoroughly. Draw a design onto the mug in pencil first so that if you make a mistake you can easily wipe it off.
Step 2 – Draw lines up from the bottom of the mug for flower stems and add swirls for the flower heads. Add short lines for grass. To create the bees, draw an oval for the body, add two antenna and wings then stripes across the body.
Step 3 – Once you are happy with the design go over the pencil lines with the black marker. When this is dry, colour the yellow parts of the bees’ bodies
Step 4 – If you want your mug to be dishwasher safe, bake it in the oven following the instructions that come with the pens.
