Here’s how

1. Remove the cabinet doors and any hardware. Give them a wash with soapy water. Start with the recesses and details of your cabinets, before you paint the flat areas. Really work the tip of your brush into the crevices. Remember to hold your brush as shown in order to get maximum purchase and to remain in control.

2. Apply the paint with a large flat brush using bold, confident strokes. Feather out the paint in all directions to get rid of any visible brush strokes. When you’ve covered the whole surface of your cabinet, leave it to dry. Paint a second coat of Chalk Paint using light strokes to ensure the surface is smooth and even. Once the paint is totally dry, sand the surface to smooth out any imperfections. The washable pads are flexible, which enables you to get into all the detailed areas.

3. Wax the door using the Small Chalk Paint Wax Brush, making sure it really goes into the paint. Remove excess with a lint-free cloth. Leave the wax to harden before applying another coat, allowing at least a day if possible. Wax the doors t2-3 times to make sure your finish is really strong so that it seals your cabinets. Finally, for a really polished finish, you can buff the wax with a cotton cloth. It shouldn’t take too much effort to get a beautiful sheen.
