Preheat oven to 220°C/200°C fan-forced.
Put sausages, onion and fennel seeds in a large 3cm-deep roasting tray. Drizzle with oil and roast for 15 minutes, or until sausages are just cooked.
Remove sausages and cut in half on the diagonal.
Add gnocchi, garlic, tomatoes, pesto, honey, balsamic, chilli and water to tray and gently stir to combine. Season. Top with sausages and mozzarella. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until gnocchi is tender and mozzarella is golden and bubbling.
Serve topped with rocket and basil.
