It can be found in most Australian garages, but WD-40 also has many uses in the kitchen.
While it’s the perfect lubrication for tools and squeaky doors, surprisingly the spray can also be used to clean and protect items.
Here are a few ways you can use WD-40 in the kitchen.
Fights grease
WD-40 can be used to remove excess grease from your stove, just spray and wipe down.
Fingerprints
The spray can be used to fight greasy fingerprints. Apply to a paper towel first and wipe down surfaces, such as your stainless steel bin.
Stiff draws
Banish stiff kitchen draws with a little bit of WD-40.
Remove goo
Stubborn stickers from crockery and glassware will peel off with ease. Just make sure you give them a good wash in warm soapy water afterwards.
Before you rush out to the garage in search of the blue and yellow can, a word a caution: WD-40 is petroleum based and flammable and should be used in areas with good ventilation.
