How to cuddle a dingo puppy in Melbourne this weekend

Meet, cuddle and photograph the 2018 pups.

Every weekend until September 23 the Dingo Discovery Sanctuary and Research Centre in Melbourne is hosting dingo puppy encounters for adults and children.

Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about Australia’s apex predator and native dog in the best way possible – by photographing and cuddling fluffy dingo puppies, and meeting some of the friendly dingo adults.

Sessions are 11am and 2pm every Saturday and Sunday and are hosted by the sanctuary’s team of keepers. Tickets are $49 for adults and $35 for children, and funds go towards feeding and caring for the dingoes that live at the sanctuary, as well as maintaining the grounds.

Children must be seven years or older and accompanied by a parent up to 12 years of age. Visitors need to wear full-coverage clothing and footwear, and a barbecue snack bar will be operating between 12:30pm and 4pm each day with soft drinks, tea and coffee available.

Tickets can be purchased online, and you can read more about the good work being done by the sanctuary on their website.

Head to Dingo Discovery Sanctuary, 366-400 Melton-Gisborne Road, Toolern Vale, VIC 3337, for your date with a dingo!
