Muggles making their way to England for a holiday should make a pit stop in North Yorkshire, where a luxury version of Hagrid’s Cottage has just opened up for guests by North Shire.
Almost an exact replica of the hut that appeared in the movie, the Grounds Keeper’s cottage has had something of a luxury makeover inside.
The bathroom has been tiled in Slytherin-green, with a flashy copper tub and basin. The living area has a delightfully country-chic feel that’s perfect for enjoying butterbeer by the fire.
Everything has been designed with a Harry Potter theme in mind, complete with stained-glass windows, rustic wooden flooring, a roaring fireplace, and other magical furnishings.
The property can sleep up to six wizards at a time, thanks to the double bed, sofa bed and set of bunks. One night at this enchanting place will set you back £195 per night, and you’ll be able to enjoy sea views and the rolling hills of the English countryside.
As if this wasn’t enough, as well as Hagrid’s Hut, North Shire also offers other magical accommodation, such as gypsy bow-top caravans, a Hobbit house and a story book cottage complete with a walk-through wardrobe that leads into a hidden bedroom.
Carol Cavendish, the owner of North Shire and creator of Hagrid’s Hut told the Gazette that “We’re known for offering something very different with a real touch of magic and I believe that’s exactly what visitors will see when they visit.”
