It happens to everyone without explanation but one mum has come up with a way to stop socks from separating in the wash.
Sharing her tip in the Kmart Mums Australia group, Megsie Vincent said attaching a laundry bag to the front of the washing machine with velcro has been the answer to the age-old odd sock problem.
“This is a laundry bag from Kmart (one in a three pack) and I’ve attached it with velcro dots so that I can rip it off and chuck it in the wash,” she wrote
The best part is, this the three pack will set you back $6.
Alternatively, socks can be kept in pairs simply by pinning them together after taking them off.
For the collection of odd socks, you may have already accumulated, start an odd sock basket. Hopefully, the other half will turn up.
