Keep critters out
Cracks and random holes around your home give mice and bugs easy access to your space. Simply plug up the gaps using steel wool.
Sharpen scissors
Take the steel wool and the pair of scissors to a sink or somewhere easy to clean up the tiny steel wool offcuts. Start cutting into the steel wool with the scissors for about a minute. When you have finished, wipe the scissors down with damp, paper towel.
Tighten a loose screw
Has a screw become lose in a hole? A solution is to pull off a small amount of steel wool and wrap around the screw and try again.
Drain catcher
Can’t find your drain catcher or don’t have one big enough? Steel wool can be placed around the drain in your bath before washing your pet to catch hair, or before doing the dishes to stop food from going down the drain.
