If you haven’t crossed into robot vacuum territory, you’re probably wondering if they make life easier.
I recently tested ECOVACS’ new Deebot N10 plus. I have to say my house feels much cleaner, and all I’ve done is push a button.

What I loved: Deebot N10 plus pros
- It can mop: this might gross you out, but I rarely mop my floors. Now I’m doing it daily. Well, my Deebot is. It also knows where the carpet is and avoids it while mopping hard surfaces. It’s very clever like that.
- It does a top job at vacuuming. OK, so I know it’s a vacuum, and it’s one job is to, well, vacuum, but I was surprised at how much it can suck up. I know this because I intercepted it before it returned to its home to auto-empty, and there was a lot of dust and dirt in there. I was mortified but also so pleased.
- You can still use it without Wi-Fi. If you don’t want to connect the DEEBOT N10 PLUS to your wifi network, don’t. This robot vacuum still does an excellent job without it.
- It cleans under my bed. This little bot can vacuum where traditional vacuums may find it hard to go. One afternoon, I checked on my little friend and found it cleaning under my bed.
- The little brushes. The little brushes are a genius idea. As the vacuum goes about its business, they spin around, moving dirt and dust out from hard-to-reach corners and into the vacuum’s path.
- Can go up little steps. I have a small step from the living room to the kitchen and another one near the front door, which The DEEBOT N10 PLUS easily moves up and down.
- I can vacuum every day. Most people could probably get away with vacuuming once or twice a week, unless you have kids or pets. I have both and our floor gets pretty dirty. Now my robot vacuum does a little vacuum around most days to help keep on top of the pet hair and food crumbs.
What I don’t love: Deebot N10 plus cons
- While the 2.5-litre disposable dust bag holds months of dust, I don’t like that I have to buy replacement bags.
- It’s not a con, but you have to make sure there’s nothing lying around that your robot vacuum can suck up. I had a reusable make-up wipe on the ground, which got stuck inside it. Blankets left dangling off the lounge sometimes get sucked up too. So you have to keep an eye on it. But you have to do the same with any vacuum.
Summary
The Ecovacs Deebot N10 plus robot vacuum has been a gamechanger for my family. It easily navigates its way around my home, seeking out and cleaning dirt and dust from my carpet.
Its ability to mop hard surfaces and avoid carpets makes it a versatile cleaning tool. The robot vacuum also connects to the Ecovacs Home app, but can be used without Wi-Fi connectivity. Although the dust bag needs to be replaced, the vacuum’s ability to clean under furniture, like beds, and move up and down small steps makes it a valuable investment.
