While some Black Friday sales have been going on for a few weeks, they’re well and truly in focus now – and if you’ve set your sights on a new TV, you’re not alone. Around 20 per cent of Aussies plan to shop for a new TV or other big-ticket upgrades during the Black Friday sales, according to research from Kogan.
I bought my current TV in the sales a few years ago and saved a bundle because of it. Some of the deals I’ve found this year also offer hundreds or even thousands of dollars off the recommended retail prices for TVs.
For example, you can save $2500 on Samsung’s 85-inch Neo QLED 8K Vision AI Smart TV, currently $5999. Or you could get $2138 off LG’s best-selling 77-inch LG OLED evo AI C5 4K Smart TV, on sale for $3861.
Just about every brand and retailer I’ve looked at has TV deals for Black Friday. So if you’re ready to upgrade your TV, here I’ve rounded up the best deals available for Black Friday. Just keep in mind that, at these prices, some models could sell out fast.

The best Samsung Black Friday TV deals
Samsung launched its Black Friday TV deals early, with a limited-time sale on best-selling The Frame TVs. There are plenty of other great savings directly through the brand, as well as at other retailers including The Good Guys and Bing Lee.
Tip: Even though The Frame TVs are no longer on sale directly with Samsung, I found savings on the new 65 inch model at The Good Guys – so it pays to shop around if you want a specific model or size.

The best LG Black Friday TV deals
There are deals on both top-rated and new TVs from LG, with these top picks all offering savings of $1000 to $2138. If you’re upgrading an existing LG TV, it’s worth checking LG’s website for member trade-in deals that could save you a little bit more.
What to look for: LG suggests choosing an OLED evo TV for cinema rooms and other darker spaces, a QNED evo TV for bright rooms and sports fans, NanoCell for vibrant, lifelike colour – and says QNED TVs in general are a good choice for value.

I even found a Samsung and an LG TV at lower prices than shopping directly with the brands: The Samsung 65in NeoQLED 4K MiniLED Smart TV on sale for $1239 at Appliances Online compared to $1399 at Samsung, and the LG 75in QNED81A 4K UHD Smart LED TV on sale for $2260 at Appliances Online compared to $2495 at LG.
