Citrusy juice, tangy soy, sweet hoisin and cinnamon will be imparting their wonderful flavours into this Asian-style beef. Just boil egg noodles and brocollini to serve. So simple!

Ingredients

Method

1.

Put beef in the bowl of a 4.5L-capacity slow cooker. Combine mandarin juice, soy, hoisin, brown sugar, cornflour, pepper, star anise and cinnamon sticks in a large jug. Pour over beef. Set appliance to low, cover and cook for 5 hours. Remove beef from slow cooker and transfer to a chopping board. Cover to keep warm. Stand for 10 minutes. Increase slow cooker heat to high and simmer sauce until thickened.

2.

Meanwhile, cook noodles following pack instructions. Drain and return to pan. Bring a separate saucepan of water to the boil. Add brocollini and cook for 2 minutes or until just tender. Drain

3.

Slice beef, then divide noodles among serving plates. Top with beef slices, sauce and brocollini to serve.
