Woolworths Bricks are back with a cricket twist that has Australian families buzzing.

The highly anticipated third edition, Bricks Home, launches January 28, 2026, introducing 40 new mystery collectables – including a breakthrough cricket character that’s already generating collector excitement.

The Woolworths LEGO Bricks Home collection transforms miniature building blocks into complete household scenes, with mystery packs containing everyday items, pantry goods, pets, and family characters.

Here’s everything parents and collectors need to know about the 2026 release. Including which pieces are likely to be the rarest and most valuable.

Cricket makes its debut

For the first time, the collection includes cricket-themed items – and it’s perfectly timed. The men’s Ashes series just ended, Australia’s women’s test series starts in early March, and Alyssa Healy announced her retirement just days ago.

The standout piece is Laura, a blonde-haired Woolworths Cricket Blast girl character wearing a green Cricket Blast shirt and holding a bat and a red cricket ball. Promotional images show characters playing cricket in backyard settings, complete with cricket stumps and a wheelie bin.

Woolworths Marketing Director Jane Saleh said the bricks have become a hit with families since launching in 2021.

“The new Home edition rewards our customers as they shop and gives them the chance to enjoy moments together as a family,” she said.

How it works

Customers receive one free mystery pack for every $30 spent at Woolworths, BIG W and MILKRUN. The small brick sets are designed for ages 5 and up and fit in a child’s palm.

Bonus packs are available when buying products from participating brands such as OMO, Nescafé, Colgate, and Birds Eye.

Themed packs

For families wanting to speed up the collection process (or avoid duplicate frustration), themed packs are available for purchase at $6-$10 each. These include Living Room ($8), Pets ($8), Animals ($6), Dining Room ($8), Garden and Outdoor ($8), plus a Family Car ($10) and a Delivery Truck ($10).

Robert Glenn, Woolworths Head of Collectables and Continuity, says the Home Starter Pack ($10) provides the foundation for the collection.

“It includes two baseplates to build upon, the main structural elements of the home (such as walls or a roof frame), and a sheet of stickers to decorate the house.”

Which Woolworths Bricks are the rarest and most valuable?

When asked which bricks are the rarest and most valuable in the collection, Robert Glenn, Woolworths Head of Collectables and Continuity, remained tight-lipped, only saying: “We know how much our customers love collecting Woolworths Bricks, and we encourage collectors to keep a close eye on their packs for any special surprises over the six weeks of the campaign.”

The promise of “special surprises” suggests there may be limited editions or exclusive pieces hidden within the promotion.

Previous rare bricks

Based on previous editions, character pieces are harder to find than household items. In the 2021 Supermarket collection, the customer (No. 1), store manager (No. 2), and trolley (No. 3) were among the most sought-after regular pieces.

Woolworths has also released ultra-rare golden variants in past campaigns. The 2021 edition featured a Golden Customer with Golden Trolley (limited to 500 numbered pieces), while the 2023 Farm edition had a Golden Farmer and Wheelbarrow (just 100 in circulation). These rare pieces have fetched high prices on resale sites, with some listed for hundreds of dollars.

Woolworths hasn’t yet confirmed whether the 2026 Home edition will include an ultra-rare golden variant, but collectors should watch for any announcements.

Are Woolworths bricks compatible with Lego?

Yes, Woolworths has confirmed the bricks are compatible with other leading building block brands, including Lego. This means families can integrate them with existing collections and expand their building possibilities beyond just the Woolworths sets.

Made from recycled plastic

The bricks are made from 100% recycled plastic certified by the Global Recycled Standard. Customers can return them to stores by 31 March 2026 for recycling through iQRenew.

Previous editions launched in 2021 (supermarket theme) and 2023 (farm theme). Based on those campaigns, expect high demand in the first few weeks and potential stock shortages of popular pieces.
