Travelling is one of life’s greatest privileges. Being able to experience a new culture and immerse yourself in the tastes, sounds, smells and sights of a different country can help you grow as a person, open your mind and make you feel more fulfilled.
However, according to data obtained by Skyscanner, there are four main concerns that stop Australians from travelling abroad.
The top four travel concerns were the cost of travel, long flight duration, safety concerns and being out of their personal comfort zone.
With that in mind, Skyscanner analysed the most popular destinations Australians most often travelled to, and cross-examined the locations with the top four travel concerns in mind. The result is a list of the best destinations for first-time Australian travellers, that are safe, affordable and have reasonably small flight durations. All these destinations roughly cost between $400 and $1000 for airfares.
