Two of Scandinavia’s biggest names have joined forces – and we couldn’t be happier.
At its Democratic Design Day in Almhut, Sweden, Ikea announced that it is collaborating with Lego on a new collection.
The much-anticipated new range will focus on the role of play in the lives of both children and adults.
“Together, the Lego Group and Ikea we really want to enable many more opportunities for play in the home between children and their parents,” said Lena Dixen, senior vice president of product development for Lego.
“You never get too old to play,” added Fredrika Inger, business area manager for Children’s Ikea.
While “it’s early stages” in product development, Ikea said they have “a lot of ideas”.
Parents around the world can only hope that includes a clever storage solution for Lego.
The launch date for Ikea x Lego is to be announced.
