If you have the bench space, keeping the kitchen appliances you use daily out and on display makes sense, especially if they match your colour scheme.

But one annoying problem with kitchen appliances is the messy cords!
Cord organisation tip
Thankfully, one TikToker has shared a really simple cord organising solution.
In a series called Everything has a place, TikToker @ash.tho shares small changes that can make a big difference when organising your home.
One of those tips is organising kitchen appliance cords so no one can see them.
“You already know I love hiding things behind other things,” she says in a video.
“So that I never have cord showing, I’ve spent my whole life using these twist ties you get on bread.”
While you can recycle twist ties to keep your cords out of sight, there’s another way: a cord organiser.
“They’re backed with adhesive; you can put it on the actual item or the outlet itself, and you just wrap the cord around,” she explained.
This five-pack of cord organisers for kitchen appliances comes highly rated on Amazon.
“I’ve only been using these cord organisers for a few days, but they seem good. If they continue to adhere, I may purchase more in a different colour, says one reviewer.
Another added: “The best thing I ever bought. [You] get 5 in a pack, and it’s wonderful not to have cords lying everywhere. Attach it to your electric kitchen equipment and wrap the cord around the organiser. Neat and tidy. Great product.”
“Sticks well and stays on,” says another person, adding, “Easy to apply and keeps cords tidy and out of view.”

Declutter: start by decluttering your kitchen and removing items you no longer use or need.
Group similar items together: keep all your baking supplies in one area, your spices in another, and your pots and pans in a designated spot.
Use storage containers: invest in containers and jars to store dry goods like grains, pasta, and snacks. These containers not only keep your pantry organised but also help maintain the freshness of the food.
Utilise vertical space: Maximise your storage using vertical organisers such as shelves, racks, or hooks. These can be mounted on the walls or inside cabinet doors to store items like pots, pans, utensils, and mugs.
Use drawer dividers: Use dividers in your drawers to separate and organise utensils, gadgets, and tools.
Label containers: Labeling containers, especially in the pantry or refrigerator, helps you quickly identify ingredients and reduces the chances of forgetting what you have. Here’s how to make your own labels.
Keep countertops clear: try to keep your countertops as clear as possible to create a clean and organised look. Try the OHIO method to keep your kitchen countertop free from clutter.
Try a cleaning routine: regularly clean and wipe down your kitchen surfaces, including cabinets, countertops, and appliances. The FlyLady cleaning method helps keep your house clean without feeling overwhelmed.
