Australian retailer Adairs has announced its partnership with Cungelella Art, an Indigenous art project founded by four Kalkadoon sisters, for a limited-edition collection.

The Kalkadoon sisters are known for telling the stories of their Kalkatungu homelands through their original paintings, which is reflected in each of the pieces in the collection.
Cungelella Art X Adairs collections
The sisters’ paintings have been used to design a stunning collection of bed linen, homewares, serving ware and limited-edition wall art for the first time within a collaboration collection.
The colour palette used in the collection has been influenced by the shades of the Mt Isa sunset, ancient rock faces, and spinifex-covered hills.
Founder Glenda McCulloch said, “We cannot wait to see the Adairs collaboration come to life. When we painted this collection, we wanted to evoke a feeling of homeland, calm, grounding and most importantly, family.”
She added, “The Adairs Kids and nursery collection incorporates the rainbow as a sign of hope and the night stars that can only be seen in full bloom when camping out bush.”
