• 150g dried dates
• 100g natural almonds

• 50g walnuts
• 4 dried figs, finely chopped
• 2 Tbsp raw cacao powder or unsweetened cocoa powder
• 50g dark chocolate (70% cocoa), coarsely grated
• Zest of ½ orange
• 1 cup unsweetened desiccated coconut
Step 1 Put dates in a bowl of hot water. Set aside for 30 minutes to soften.
Step 2 Meanwhile, put almonds in the bowl of a food processor. Process until fine. Add walnuts, fig, cacao and chocolate. Process to combine.

Step 3 Drain dates and add to food processor with zest. Process until mixture comes together. Refrigerate for 30 minutes or until firm.
Step 4 Put desiccated coconut on a large plate. Using your hands, roll 1 Tbsp of the nut mixture into a small ball. Repeat with remaining mixture, then roll each ball in coconut until coated. Refrigerate for 1 hour or until firm. Serve.
