Is your old hot water system pouring money down the drain?

It’s time you met the latest technology that offers big savings on your ongoing hot water energy bills.

We all love a warm shower, or a long hot soak in the bath to soothe tired muscles, but that hot water we enjoy doesn’t warm itself by magic. An effective hot water system can be the difference between a hot and a cold shower, but more than that, it can be a massive drain on your hip pocket if it’s not operating efficiently.

A significant portion of a household’s power cost can be attributed to the running of a traditional electric storage hot water system. So, what if you could run your hot water system efficiently and save up to 80 per cent on your current hot water energy costs?

MEET THE NEXT GENERATION

If it’s time to consider an upgrade to your hot water system, take a look at the new technology that’s changing the game.

The Sanden Eco® Plus Hot Water Heat Pump System is a highly energy-efficient replacement for your traditional electric storage hot water system. Its innovative technology has broken the mould in hot water technology, outperforming both on roof solar and heat pump hot water systems.

Using refrigeration technology, heat is absorbed by ozone-friendly R744 (CO2), a natural refrigerant which does not contribute to global warming. As the warm gaseous refrigerant circulates through the system, it passes through a compressor and its pressure and temperature rises. The hot refrigerant then passes through a heat exchanger which heats the water. The refrigerant is cycled back into the system and hot water is pumped to the storage tank, for your use. No backup elements are required.

THE SAVINGS ADD UP

Sanden’s Eco Plus Hot Water Heat Pump technology uses just 0.9kW of energy to generate 4.5kW of heat; this is 80 per cent less energy compared to traditional electric storage hot water systems.

The result is a system that requires radically less electricity to heat water when compared to conventional hot water systems. By using just 20 per cent of the energy a traditional hot water system uses, by moving over to the Sanden Eco the average household could also save up to 80 per cent on its hot water energy bill, year after year.

With power costs ever on the rise, considering that average saving per year is estimated at around $400 per household (Source: Sanden Sydney Case Study, 2011), consider for a moment what that 80 per cent would look like… A luxury weekend away? New bikes for the kids? Or perhaps a bit less pressure when Christmas rolls around? The possibilities are endless.

HEATING THAT WON’T COST THE EARTH

The Sanden Eco Plus doesn’t only benefit you, it also benefits the environment. The key to this world-leading technology is the natural refrigerant, currently used only by Sanden Eco Plus as they believe it represents the future of hot water heating. R744 is Ozone friendly and doesn’t contribute to global warming, so by making the switch to Sanden you also know you’re lessening your impact on the environment.
