How do air purifiers work?
“Air purifiers work by constantly cycling the air around them, removing pollutants and allergens, and filtered air is then pushed back into the room,” expert Jones explains. “This process is repeated, making the air cleaner with each pass”.
“There are various different types of air purifiers and most use HEPA filters, which remove particles such as pollen, dust and smoke. These air purifiers use an extremely fine HEPA filter system removing up to 99.97 per cent of bacteria.”
Where is the best place to put an air purifier?
“Air purifiers are portable and easy to be moved to different areas in your home; it is best to keep an air purifier in the room you use the most,” Jones says.
“The best place to put an air purifier is where you are getting the most amount of airflow – perhaps near a window or doorway. It is also best to keep an air purifier slightly raised off the ground for better movement of airflow – rather than keeping it on the floor.”
