With Christmas just around the corner, what have you planned for your puppy this festive season? If they’ve already got a dog bed and all the toys in the world, why not treat them to something they can enjoy instantly instead?
Does your pooch tend to hover when you’re serving up a pavlova or trifle for the family? Well, there’s no reason your pup needs to miss out on dessert this Christmas.
For Australian pet owners who are looking to whip up a treat for their furry friends, home cook Jessica Nguyen in collaboration with PETstock has developed a Christmas Paw-dings recipe that is vet-approved and pet safe.
Ingredients
Method
Place the oats, dates, chopped Black Dog Carob Buttons, melted Black Dog Carob Buttons, and peanut butter into a food processor and blitz until combined
Lightly dust your board with a little bit of flour and roll the mixture into little bite sized balls. The flour will help the puddings be less sticky on the surface.
Melt the Black Dog Yoghurt Drops in a small bowl in the microwave for about 1 minute and transfer into a small piping bag, ziplock bag or squeeze bottle.
Pipe the melted yoghurt onto the tops of each pudding, allowing it to fall down the sides halfway for effect.
Garnish with a cranberry, you can roll this in your hand to create a small cranberry ball, and add 2 small mint leaves to look like Christmas Holly.
Allow the yoghurt topping to set for 5 minutes before serving.
