Bake this staple cold-weather favourite in individual dishes or ramekins to serve to guests. But if you’re feeling a little lazy or tight on time you can always bake this treat in a large baking tray too.

Ingredients

Method

1.

Preheat oven to 180°C. Put apple, raisins, juice and brown sugar in a medium saucepan and cook over a medium heat for 15 minutes or until apple is soft. Transfer to six 3/4 cup capacity ramekins or a 1.5L-capacity baking dish.

2.

Put flour, caster sugar and oats in a large bowl and stir well. Add butter and rub lightly until coarse crumbs form, then scatter over apple mixture. Bake for 25 minutes in ramekins or 35-40 minutes in dish or until golden and crisp. Top with ice-cream and serve.
