The Block 2025 location has been revealed and it could be one of the most exciting and wholesome settings the show has seen. Daylesford is a small, picturesque country town in the foothills of the Great Dividing Range of Victoria, Australia.
The town is growing in popularity as a getaway destination and is known for its natural mineral springs, the leafy Wombat Hill Botanical Gardens that sits on top of an extinct volcano and a 19th-century mansion, home to the Convent Gallery. It’s also home to the Wombat State Forest shelters where rare wildlife like the spot-tailed quoll can be spotted.

Where is The Block 2025 location?
Within the new Middleton Field housing estate, five brand-new sustainable pavilion-style homes have begun construction for The Block. Currently, civil works are taking place with curbs, pavement, and roads being built.
This year’s Block contestants will build eco-friendly and carbon-neutral houses, each with five bedrooms on 2400 sqm of land on Raglan Street, near the popular Farmer Arms Hotel, located at the town’s eastern entry point.
As any fan of The Block would know, this site was rumoured to be the location for the 2024 season. However receiving approvals for the planning and backlash from the township delayed the process, preventing it from going ahead and resulting in the 2024 season to take place at Philip Island.
While they have announced The Block 2025 location, the start date is yet to be announced. Official fliers sent to the community have confirmed filming will run from mid-March to mid-June.
When will The Block 2025 start?
Luckily for us, this year we are set to get a glimpse into the tranquil beauty of Daylesford as the backdrop of The Block.
Here are five reasons Daylesford may prove to the most wholesome setting we’ve seen in the series so far.
1. Wholesome homes
Daylesford, known for its peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, is unsurprisingly a favourite among retirees. But it’s also becoming more popular for multi-generational living.
Will Walton, principal of Belle Property Daylesford told realestate.com that Daylesford has a lot of self-funded retirees who frequently have families visit and stay. This means the demand for intergenerational homes is growing, so contestants will be building homes that aren’t just beautiful and sustainable, but also the perfect place for families to reunite, reconnect and create lasting memories together with a stunning backdrop of Aussie gold mining history, scenic lakes and sprawling nature.

2. It’s on the rise
Daylesford is a stunning country town where the property market is on the rise. Not only is this a valuable area for potential buyers and investors, but it also provides a great incentive for contestants who can potentially earn big profits with their finished homes.
Walton predicts that a benefit of buying in the area is it’s demand for sustainable, good-quality, architectural homes.
The Block 2025 location in Daylesford will see houses the first of its kind – modern and eco-friendly, meaning they will be entirely unique and in high demand.
For this reason, local agents are predicting they are likely to receive top sums come auction time.
Kim McQueen, one of The Block Gisborne’s selling agents, has sold many of Daylesford’s high-end properties, and to her knowledge, the highest price paid for a home in the area to date was $3 million during the pandemic, but she believes “The Block always pushes the boundaries with the prices on homes.”
Over the years, the highest-selling home on The Block raked in $5.67 million in 2022 by Omar and Oz. The sale set a record for the show with a profit of $1.69 million.
Followed closely behind was the 2024 season with Maddy and Charlotte receiving $3.5 million and earning a profit of $1.55 million.
3. Bringing Daylesford back to life
Daylesford is a small but mighty country town with award-winning culinary restaurants being a major driver in bringing people into the region. However, over the last 12 months, they’ve gone through a tough time with lower occupancy than usual and that has affected all businesses in town.
With the news of The Block 2025 location being Daylesford, it’s given small businesses a wave of relief and excitement.
“I think most people are really excited about The Block coming, and I think it’s going to give it a really good boost and put Daylesford on the map,” McQueen told realestate.com. “Obviously, Daylesford is a really well-known tourist area, but I think The Block will take it to a whole new level.”

4. Vintage boutique homewares
Maximalism is making a comeback for 2025 and if there’s one thing every small country town has – it’s vintage stores. From the amazing mill markets to the brick lane bazaar, we are excited to see The Block contestants rummage through the stores for unique, antique finds to add personality to their renovations.
5. Wealth of inspiration
In a show that can become overwhelming, stressful and uncertain at times, renovating in the heart of Victoria’s spa country with stunning landscapes, picturesque lakes and historic architecture may prove to be a major win.
The natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere can provide endless inspiration to the contestants. We hope to see rustic, countryside vibes with a mix of modern beauty, with inspiration being drawn from the town, history and stunning landscapes to create the most impressive houses we’ve seen on the show so far.

The Block 2025: Who are the hosts?
The hosts for The Block are expected to visit Daylesworth in 2025 for another brilliant season. Scott Cam (would it really be The Block without him?) and co-host Shelley Craft have both been undertaking their own renovations and are anticipated to get stuck into filming from mid-March.
Who are the judges on The Block 2025?
Ready to judge every design decision and share their expertise with the new contestants, real estate agent Marty Fox will join forces with interior designers Shaynna Blaze and Darren Palmer for The Block 2025.
