The magical world of Willy Wonka has come to life with scratch-and-sniff wallpaper by New York company Flavor Paper.
The playful range is the brainchild of a beauty parlour in New York.
“The owner of Michael Angelo’s Wonderland Beauty Parlor in New York was thumbing through his high school notebooks looking for inspiration and saw all these scratch-and-sniff stickers,” explained Jon Sherman, owner of Flavor Paper.

Mr Sherman researched the idea and found a water-based adhesive with fragrance oils encapsulated microscopically. Scratching the paper pops the capsules and releases the fragrance.

The scratch-and-sniff range comes in three different prints: bananas, cherries and citrus, and is available in different colours, including a dazzling foil background.

You can also custom-design your own flavours and colours. Chocolate-scented purple bananas, anyone?

Designers and celebrities such as Dita Von Teese and Tommy Hilfiger have embraced the pop-art inspired designs, installing them in their own homes.
The good news is that Flavor Paper ships to Australia, however you will need to pay extra for duties and taxes.
