There’s nothing worse than having to shake a salt or pepper bottle hundreds of times just to get a few grains of tasty goodness on your meal. However, it turns out there’s a trick for solving that very problem.
Twitter user CreepyKellie tweeted a video of an unusual salt and pepper shaker hack she discovered over Christmas. In the video, Kellie turns a clogged pepper shaker upside down before rubbing the bottom of an accompanying salt shaker around the bottom of the overturned pepper.
This results in a generous helping of pepper coming out of the shaker unhindered. It’s thought that the technique of rubbing the two bottoms of the salt and pepper shakers together causes a vibration that seems to get the grains of both salt or pepper flowing freely through the shaker holes.
