If you or your family have been considering the pros and cons of getting a pet recently, this weekend is the perfect opportunity for you to finally make a decision and get yourself a pet.
The RSPCA is running a Clear the Shelters drive this weekend and will be dropping the price of animal adoption to just $29 in order to get as many cats, dogs, rodents and reptiles into fur-ever homes as possible.
The $29 adoption fee guarantees your new four-legged or feathered friend is vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and desexed. However, it’s important that you bring every member of the family with you to meet the animals available, so you can be sure to get the right munchkin to suit your family, home and lifestyle.
Pop along to your local RSPCA shelter, care centre or Petbarn to meet all the adorable animals that are up for adoption, unfortunately Tasmania and Darwin won’t be participating.
If you would like to have a look at the available pets before the weekend, visit the Adopt a Pet website, and NSW residents can pre-register their interest in adopting a pet via the Clear the Shelters website.
The 2019 Clear the Shelters drive runs from February 22 to 24, but it’s best to get in quick so you can meet as many new furry faces as possible.
In 2018 RSPCA NSW was able to find fur-ever homes for 14,169 animals, and this weekend you can do your part to help save thousands more. So what are you waiting for? Hop to it!
