The Featherston House is a national treasure. Designed by famous Australian architect Robin Boyd and owned by renowned furniture designer Grant Featherston, it combines inspiration from a warehouse and loft, with “floating” levels and an interior garden. It also features a transparent roof and a large glass wall. Joh and Pete visit the Featherston family’s remarkable home and see how the spectacular 2018 update – the “granny flat” for Mary Featherston – with the aim of keeping three generations of the family under one roof – echoes the themes from the ‘60s adventure, with a modern-day twist.
