The celebrate the release of the Downton Abbey film, Highclere Castle is opening its doors, for one night only, to two lucky guests for a one-of-a-kind Airbnb experience.
Guests can expect to live like high society nobility for the duration of their stay, and will be invited to enjoy cocktails in the saloon with the Earl and Countess of Carnarvon, followed by a traditional dinner in the state dining room – so be sure to brush up on your etiquette.
After dinner, coffee will be served in the library before the guests retire to one of the principal bedrooms with an en-suite bathroom and views over the 1,000 acres of lush parklands. The next day, guests will enjoy a delicious breakfast and a private tour of Highclere Castle’s extensive grounds before departing the grounds.
Bookings for the Airbnb listing will open on October 1, 2019 at 9pm AEST. Highclere Castle is only available for a one night stay for up to two guests on November 26, 2019 costing £150 ($270 AUD) inclusive.
