There is nothing like sparkling silver jewellery or those stunning silverware household items on display in your home.
And there is nothing worse than it being tarnished and dull. After all, why go to all that expense for those lovely items and not have them look their best!
Buying off-the-shelf cleaning items is one solution, sure. But there’s no need for expensive polishes when you can easily make your own at home.
Even better, it’s by using product you might already have growing in your garden. Your herb garden to be exact.
Parsley is good for so many things. It’s a great ingredient for those with kidney stones, indigestion, and constipation, and even if you have high blood pressure, but the great news is this simple herb is also good for cleaning silver.
Here’s how it can be done.
Grab yourself four handfuls of parsley and put it in a pot of boiling water.
Once the water has boiled with the parsley for a few minutes turn the heat off and dip your silver items in the parsley water.
For small items use a wire strainer to dip them.
Dry it off with a polishing cloth. You can include a dab of bicarbonate of soda on the cloth for any leftover dull areas.
