Whether you like reading at night or need some extra lighting in your lounge room, a lamp is a key decorating feature in your home.
After seeing a similar hack that leveled up Kmart lamps on Facebook, savvy mum, Leni, decided to have a go at the easy DIY herself.
“I saw this great idea posted yesterday and had to try it myself” Leni shared.
The Kmart enthusiast got to work using a $10 Kmart lamp, glue and cotton fabric from Spotlight.

“I used $4 fabric glue from Kmart to stick the new material over the old material and it seems to have stuck on really well.”
“it’s not too hard to DIY, but just make sure you have some sharp scissors.”
“I looked everywhere in Spotlight for a nice sea animal print and didn’t like anything I saw, then found this in the clearance section. I like it but am still on the hunt for the perfect one. This lamp is for my daughter’s room but I might do one for my bed or lounge room in a material of my choice.”
The post has since amassed more than 1500 likes on Facebook.
One user exclaimed, “Aaawww that is so cute!”
“I want to try that too” another user commented.
