Seeing as Australians spend about 90 per cent of their time indoors, it’s incredibly important to ensure that the air quality in your home is always kept to a high level. However, as anyone who has ever painted a room or renovated can attest, maintaining the quality of in your home can be hard when it’s riddled with volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from strong-smelling interior paint.
VOCs are a group of carbon-based chemicals that easily evaporate at room temperature. Many common household materials and products, such as paints and cleaning products, give off VOCs.
However, Wattyl has developed a brand new kind of paint that is kind to both indoor and outdoor environments. Wattyl claims that this paint is one of their most advanced, and it seems they might be right.
I.D Advanced by Wattyl is the only paint to carry both GECA (Good Environment Choice Australia) and APAS (Australian Paint Approval Scheme) accreditation. It also has an ultra low VOC formula with less than 1g of VOC per litre, which exceeds green-building requirements.
The paint is available in a water-based matt, low-sheen and satin finishes plus Ceiling White for indoor use that is touch-dry in 30 minutes. The paint is also able to resist mould and fungus growth and is also washable and stain resistant.
I.D Advanced is available from Wattyl Paint Centres and other leading paint retailers from $71.90 per 4L can.
