Every year in Australia we waste millions of tonnes of food, so Joh and Ed meet in the kitchen to talk about ways we can stop wasting so much edible stuff from our fridges and pantries. To illustrate one way excess food can be utilised and not wasted, Joh leaves the kitchen to meet a WIRES volunteer who, when not raising her kids and working, manages to find the time to foster injured flying foxes, feeding them with surplus food provided by one of our largest supermarkets.
