Trying to fish out a piece of broken egg shell from a bowl of batter or egg whites is a pain in the neck. It’s almost impossible to grab hold of it with your fingers, and a spoon never seems to catch it. Regardless, all f us have chased those broken pieces around a pan or mixing bowl before, determinedly trying to catch that pesky shell.

This trick works best when trying to get a piece of shell out of an egg white. All you need to do is run your hands under cold water, ensuing that your hand it wet, then reach into the bowl and grab the shell.
