The 8th of August is World Cat Day and Petbarn is celebrating the occasion by hosting an adoption day for cats and kittens who need forever homes.
Petbarn Area Manager, Emily Dwyer, says: “We are so excited to be celebrating World Cat Day in- store again this year. Cats make wonderful pets as they’re affectionate yet independent. They are renowned for their companionship, playful nature and self-sufficiency, making a great addition to any family. If you have been thinking about welcoming a new feline friend into your home, World Cat Day is the perfect time to come in-store and meet some of the adorable cats and kittens available for adoption.”
The goal of the day is to find as many purrfect pairings as possible so these rescue cats and kittens can find their forever homes. If you happen to find your new best friend on the day, Petbarn will be able to talk you through the pet adoption process in-store. While an adoption fee will be charged at Petbarn, 100 per cent of the dollar amount will be returned to the charity who have partnered with Petbarn for World Cat Day.
All the cats and kittens available for adoption are vaccinated, microchipped, desexed and health-checked to ensure they’re off to a good start at their new home.
Petbarn pride themselves on being committed to pet welfare and have partnered with, and supported, rescue organisations and pet-related charities since 2012. Some of Petbarn’s adoption partners are the RSPCA, Cat Haven, The Animal Welfare League, Friends of the Pound and Second Chance Animal rescue, plus many more, and they’ve saved more than 30,000 pet animal lives to date, nationally.
