Over the past few months we’ve seen a whole slew of studies and surveys that report findings about intelligent people. Some research indicates that those who like time alone are more likely to be a genius, and other studies indicate that intelligent women are more likely to be heavy drinkers. Just to add to that interesting profile of intelligence, another study has revealed that intelligent people are more likely to be potty-mouthed, too.
That’s right, researchers at the private research school University of Rochester in New York recently published the findings of their new study in the Official Journal of the International Society for the Study of Individual Differences.
The researchers asked 1000 people about 400 individual behaviours and found that respondents with higher intelligence were more likely to swear.
Interestingly, the research also indicates that smart people also have a tendency to eat spicy breakfast foods and walk around the house naked.
So, should you like spending time alone, walking around the house naked, eating spicy foods, drinking wine and swearing regularly, you can consider yourself a genius.
